What is the Beacon of Justice Award?
NLADA is honoring law firms across the country who have, in partnership with a legal aid program, provided pro bono representation to low-income families in foreclosure proceedings.
If you know of a law firm that has provided a significant percentage of their total pro bono hours representation disadvantaged families in foreclosure proceedings, then the law firm is eligible to receive the 2009 Beacon of Justice Award.
The Beacon of Justice Award acknowledges the critical role that pro bono efforts play in ensuring equal access to justice.
The National Legal Aid & Defender Association is pleased to recognize law firms that have provided an exemplary commitment to providing pro bono services to disadvantaged families facing foreclosure proceedings.
